Martin Greenwald’s experience with licensing content in the entertainment industry is unparalleled. Prior to accepting the position of CEO at Digidev, he was Chairman of the Board of Image Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: DISK) from its founding in 1981 until January, 2010, overseeing the company’s growth from $1M in revenues to over $120M per year. From 1981 to 2008, Greenwald also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Image, where he helped lead operations focused on laserdisc and DVD content production, development and acquisition. In that capacity, he negotiated Image’s exclusive agreements with major Hollywood studios including Disney, Fox, Warner Bros., MGM and a host of other A-list sources. Additionally, Greenwald was the spokesperson for Image Entertainment’s shareholder relations, speaking at numerous conferences and presentations in the global market. Before starting Image Entertainment, Greenwald produced several films for both theatrical and direct-to-video release. He has been a guest lecturer at the USC Marshall School of Business and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and a guest speaker or panelist at numerous entertainment-industry seminars and conferences. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Greenwald served on the board of directors of The Entertainment Industry Foundation. He has been honored with the Visionary Award from the Entertainment AIDS Alliance, has served as director of the Permanent Charities Committee of the Entertainment Industries, and is an active supporter of Cedars Sinai Hospital’s United Hostesses Charities and the Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Centers. Mr. Greenwald is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
