Mr. Corsano co-founded Talgo of America, a high speed rail company, with Talgo SA of Spain. Through his vision, passion and very careful initial assessment of the market for high speed rail in the continental USA, Philip was able to enter the high speed rail market in the US with a product that was able to deliver value to customers, shareholders and the State of Washington and Oregon alike. Today Talgo is a company that is valued at approximately $1.0 billion, and has as shareholders Trilantic Partners, the former Lehman Brothers private equity firm.

Philip has also managed a variety of large scale "investment" projects, in the United Kingdom, Russia, Western Europe and the US. Simplicity and transparency are his mantras. In 1999 he worked on the turnaround of a very large project that IBM had sponsored in the Russian Federation, which had gone off the rails. With the help of all suppliers to the over $0.5 bn project, Philip was able to reach an agreement with the constituents of the project, so that a new business model could be adopted and the project brought to a successful close.

After many years at large investment banks, and a London based venture firm, Philip became an accidental entrepreneur, as a former colleague asked him to advise him on investment matters. From its founding in 2004, Gnostam has brought value to clients in areas such as strategic market entry, transformation of underperforming business units, and developing effective benchmarks or performance. Over the years Philip has learned that all organizations need to have a "flexible" change strategy, that allows for competitive responses to changes. Organizations that do not continuously "benchmark" and adapt fail.

Amongst his many awards, Philip has an economics undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol, an MBA from London Business School, a Project Management certification from the University of Washington, and is a Registered Investment Adviser in California. He has been recognized for excellence in organizational design and performance, and has lectured part time at various Universities including GWU. He speaks, Italian, Russian, Spanish and French.

Philip's passions are his work, sailing, and antiquities. He is a US Coast Guard Oceans licensed Master, and enjoys discovering ancient sites by boat, especially in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Philip enjoys assisting local Seattle and international charities in their financial drives.
