Cindy F. Solomon founded the Global Product Management Talk on Twitter. Solomon has over 15 years experience in web, services, and software product marketing management at Silicon Valley companies including Apple, Vadem, NetObjects and start-ups. She founded a NYC broadcast advertising company and developed a technology newsletter for Boardroom Reports.

Solomon was exposed to computers when she learned to keypunch and write BASIC in her Math Honors sixth grade class. She studied Data Processing and Human Services at Northeastern University much before Human Computer Interaction was a field of study, and wrote a thesis on how learning word processing raised the self-esteem in underprivileged females. She went on to sell word processing systems before “microcomputer” was a household name, installed them in businesses and taught secretaries how to use them. She wrote a user manual for one of the first word processing standalone software packages, because the one that shipped with the hardware was not comprehensible. Solomon recognized how to communicate the benefits of computer technology to the "end-users", when the industry focus was immersed in the features and technical capability.

Solomon achieved certification as a product manager because product managers create context for the product within the company, within the development process, with all the stakeholders and within the industry, market, channel and end-user community.

An entrepreneur and small business owner at heart, Solomon's career has had a spiral projection from multinational enterprises (including Apple, American Express, Radio Shack) to Silicon Valley start-ups (Bits2go, Where2Net), software (NetObjects Fusion, FileMaker), sales and marketing of hardware, technology, web design and production (SaVvyApe), online marketing (Solomon On Line Marketing Now!), services, content and development, trademark law, education, teaching, writing (Boardroom Reports, SVPMA), implementing, starting (TeleResources) and running (Nutcracker Systems, Cindy's Kids) businesses aligned with her values.

Solomon creates communities both online and off, and has participated in local politics, public and private school systems, and faith based organizations. She enjoys consulting, speaking, reporting, training and writing about using technology and implementing innovation to serve, create community and make a difference in the quality of life.

Cindy says, "I have honed my communication skills to listen for what is imperative to us all and to create context to recognize and appreciate the essential issue at the correct time and place, whether we build, market or use software or hardware, in the cloud or on the desktop, spend 20 hours daily online working or watching tv...we are all concerned with the quality of our lives, the ability to connect with others and feel satisfied within, and the desire to make a difference - to have our time be worthwhile; to have our work contribute to something greater than ourselves...ultimately.

"Being a great product manager and product marketing leader requires identifying the questions that no one else is recognizing which need to be asked, asking effective questions that impact the conversation and creating the framework to generate the desired, intended results, i.e. launched products, highly functioning teams, satisfied customers, increased revenue streams, lean organizations, net profit."

Solomon's professional affiliations include the Association of International Product Marketing Management and the Silicon Valley Product Management Association. She organizes San Francisco Product Talks and participates in Product Camps. Cindy is a recognized Certified Product Manager and Certified Product Marketing Manager and esteemed member of the AIPMM Product Manager Ambassador Council.
