Malcolm has over 30 years’ experience as an architect and has an outstanding portfolio in many industry sectors including retail and commercial. He also has a proven track record in project delivery and in practice management.

Malcolm joined 3d Architects as a Director in 2015 and is ARB registered, a member of the RIBA and a RIBA branch representative.

While a director at Marks Barfield Architects Malcolm was project architect for the British Airways London Eye, Gatwick Airport's North Terminal airside retail development, The Spiral Cafe Birmingham and a number of Crossrail and DLR stations including Customs House.

At YRM (1983-93), Malcolm submitted the original planning application for Canary Wharf and was project architect for the London Docklands Development Corporation’s headquarters building on the Isle of Dogs.

At TPS, Malcolm was project director for Oman’s Muscat International Airport, comprising eight buildings including the 130m control tower, the tallest building in Oman. He also delivered a number of Defence and Law & Order projects, seven London Underground and overground stations including Euston and Leicester Square, 18 school projects and the Library of Birmingham.

At HKR, Malcolm was project director for the mixed use office, retail and hotel scheme, Magnet Minsk, in Belarus, and for a 10,700-room pilgrim hotel (master plan and architecture) with a retail souk in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He was involved in the 32,000m2 Moor Place commercial offices project in the City of London and the delivery of four residential developments for Pocket Housing.
