John (Johnny C) the President/Founder of American Musicians Radio began the company after the market crash of 2007/08.
John has been in the music industry for over 2 decades either through playing music or promoting music. After living in England for almost a year he saw a stark difference between the two cultures regarding the music industry.
Taking what he learned over their, he decided to utilize that mentality and put it towards changing the views and opinions people here in the U.S.
Seeing a new trend of music distribution and marketing, John saw a need for independent musicians to get their sound out to the masses, More and More bands were recording from their homes and placing their music directly on iTunes or Reverbnation, but still not getting the distribution that they were striving for.
So, John started the online radio station supporting ONLY local, independent and a strong emphasis on original music. As John said "Cover songs have already been done, we want to hear what the independent musicians can do".
Within a matter of a few months he was receiving music from all over the country prompting him to expand his idea into American Musicians Radio.
In his time as President he has helped countless bands get recognition for their efforts by getting the American HItmen on America's Got Talent. Uropatwin, a Utah Band, had their music discovered in Zambia through American Musicians Radio.
Many more musicians have creating lasting friendships and partnerships around the world through American Musicians Radio.
Currently, John is working with the High School PTSA of Utah and the statewide competition of the Battle of the bands awarding the top bands recording time in their studio.
John has created many working relationships with many businesses helping build a stronger music and business community.
