Alan Joshua is the pen name for a Clinical Psychologist, Parapsychologist, non-fiction writer and fiction novelist. His debut novel is The SHIVA Syndrome.
After a diversified career as a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, Parapsychologist, and non-fiction writer, Alan Joshua (pen name) is now a fiction novelist. His debut novel is The SHIVA Syndrome.
Prior to entering Psychology, Joshua graduated from art college, where he majored in sculpture and design.
In psychology, he is a psychotherapist, evaluator, and test reviewer and has explored the paranormal in his hypnotic forays into alleged reincarnation. He has also researched, and published on, the psychology of "psychic," or Transpersonal healers.
Blending his backgrounds, in The SHIVA Syndrome, Joshua has written a multilayer, multigenre story, a complex mixture of mystery, science fiction, spirituality, the paranormal, thriller, and political cover-ups. Diane Donovan, Senior ebook Editor of The Midwest Book Review, says "Lots of action, intriguing concepts, and examinations of belief systems and the greatest opportunity in human history to reshape the world: that's the essence of a powerful saga in The Shiva Syndrome, which is not only highly recommended 'as is', but would translate well to the screen."
