It’s impossible to comprehend Muhammad Ali’s influence on the youth because Ali’s influence spread across the world, but it was directly responsible for getting a young boy in Las Vegas NV, involved in boxing. Arash Hashemi was born in Iran, Tehran on Jan, 19th 1971. He moved to the US at a very early age. As a 13 year old boy Hashemi was boxing as a way to stay off the streets. A former heavyweight contender, who went 12 rounds with Muhammad Ali and gaveGeorge Foreman all he could handle by the name of Ron Lyle, agreed to take Hashemi under his wing and started boxing at Golden Glove/ American Boxing Federation.

Arash Hashemi’s real ambition was training and the promotional part of boxing, but the dream that was closest to his heart was to, one day have mandatory hospitalization insurance for all boxers, drug and alcohol awareness programs, and setting up a foundation for boxers with serious injuries and their families in their time of need.
Arash Hashemi states boxing is boxers, “I am a servant of boxing” He respects and admires all fighters. Hashemi goes on to say ” They are my heros and by no means, not just World Champions. Many have succeeded in boxing and many have failed, but they all have the same heart if not the same ability.

Besides boxing, Arash Hashemi is a successful business owner and still to this day, the owner of an automotive dealership in Las Vegas which is going five years strong along with being a commercial real estate developer. Success in any field, especially success in the competitive automotive industry breeds a degree of criticism. Arash Hashemi says “If I walk on water, some will say I don’t know how to swim” Hashemi’s philosophy as a business and now a promoter has been and will all ways be – Safety, fairness and opportunity for all.
