Since childhood, Shay has had a deep passion and connection to reading and writing. She aspired to be a journalist and lawyer. she stuck with the reading and journalism to this day.

Her love for reading and music began early with her parents. Her love for radio was grown on the campus of Prairie View A& M University as a Mass Comm/PR major, where she hosted the nightly KPVU radio show. She began her career in public relations as a PR/Marketing intern at Rap-A-Lot Records at the beginning of their journey. After graduation, Shay enjoyed a successful career at all levels in education for more than 20 years and earned her M.Ed.

“My work is rooted in service. I have always had a love for helping and educating people. Entrepreneurship, Real Estate, and Public Relations are the lanes that allow me to do that passionately and make a living doing it.

As a serial entrepreneur and CEO, Shay can be found working diligently as a publicist, coach, Realtor, event coordinator, and her clients’ strategic advocate, consultant, and solutions expert. Through vision and leadership, Shay has led her company to a scaled startup agency to further propel Opulent PREM® into the new trajectory for Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Branding, and Marketing.

When called upon, Shay is often presenting workshops, speaking to and encouraging students at the middle and high school level, and guest speaking in person and on various interview platforms.

When she has the opportunity to grab free time, she can be found deep into the latest music or book, enjoying her family, traveling, or listening to podcasts.

Shay is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., PRSA-Dallas, National Association of Realtors, and National Notary Association.
