Trent McCallson started his career in healthcare in 1992, working for a privately owned medical supply company while attending college in Albuquerque, NM. He specialized in rehabilitation services, designing and developing products and programs for the severely and chronically disabled. This area of specialty introduced him to complex physical, regulatory and social dynamics that became the foundation of his later career.

In 1997, McCallson moved to Colorado Springs, CO to help a start up company introduce rehabilitation products. Since that time, he has consulted and taken part in four additional start ups that have produced more than $100M in sales in one of the toughest arenas in healthcare.

In 2007, McCallson started a consulting firm focused on improving the custom DME delivery model. Western Assistive Technology Consulting was a B2B2C interface that helped suppliers of custom medical equipment introduce streamlined inventory schemes into their establishments while providing clinical education to practitioners and product consumers. This formula proved successful by providing manufacturer product education downstream simultaneous to providing intervention education upstream, creating both a push and pull sales model that benefited healthcare professionals, manufacturers, suppliers and consumers equally.

And now, in 2013, McCallson founded AXiOM Associates, LLC. After bearing witness to the effects of a continually changing healthcare climate on private healthcare practitioners, he realized that he could apply his skill and expertise obtained in the health equipment industry to ease the pressures that the ACA is perceived to introduce. McCallson focuses the company's efforts to address the most pressing challenges of the healthcare industry; Collecting money for services provided, helping practitioners brand their practices, improving production and collaboration, and retaining patients. Practice Made Perfect is his motto.
