Jonathan graduated from Washington State University in 1991 with an MA in applied macroeconomics, with a financial markets focus. After graduation he went on to work as a commodities analyst for Weyerhaeuser, a large logging and forestry firm in his home state of Washington. After a long and fruitful career of almost 20 years with Weyerhaeuser, in 2009 Jonathan left his position to pursue his dream of self-employment. Jonathan now owns and operates a portfolio of websites which are dedicated to the subjects of financial markets and retail investing.
