 Hank Brock, is President and CEO of Consultus, a fee-based financial consulting firm. He was selected as one of the top financial planners in America by Money Magazine in 1987. He has authored two books and is a frequent public speaker.

Henry (Hank) Brock is the founder of Mutual Benefit International Group, Ltd., the parent company of Consultus Financial, LLC. His career in the financial industry began 1979, when he began building the premier financial advisory firm in the state of Utah. He sold this firm in 1997.

From 1991 through 2003, he operated Five Star Asset Management, another Registered Investment Advisory Firm that provided fee-based professional portfolio management services to individuals, trusts, and corporations. In 1976, he co-founded his first investment partnership, Brock, Hinckley, Schow, and Company.

Hank’s success as an advisor was recognized well beyond the borders of Utah. In 1987, Money Magazine named Hank as one of America’s top financial planners. He authored Your Complete Guide to Money Happiness, a 554-page hardback book, in 1997, and the Dominoes of Destruction in 2010. Hank has been a guest on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, Fox (The Bill O’Reilly Factor), and Bloomberg, as well as dozens of other radio and TV programs, and delivers about 25 presentations annually on the economy throughout the United States and internationally.

Hank received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University with a minor in Business/Economics. He received a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in investment analysis and taxation from the University of Utah, where he additionally completed a year of Ph.D. studies in Finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Registered Financial Consultant, and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He regularly attends numerous advanced-level courses and conferences throughout the country dealing with special issues facing seniors and business-owners in areas such as investments, taxation, asset protection, estate planning, charitable giving, and retirement planning.

In 1990, Hank was appointed by Utah Governor Norman Bangerter as one of three members of the Utah Thrift Panel, established by the 1989 Legislature to arbitrate claims against five failed thrift institutions. He is a former trustee of the Utah Accountants Political Action Committee. He has served on numerous professional association committees, including the legislative, ethics, and financial planning committees of the Utah Association of CPA’s, as well as similar positions with other professional societies, including the Society of Financial Services Professionals, NAIFA, and as President of the Financial Planning Association of Utah, 1988-1989. He is a member of the AICPA, NAIFA, and serves as a member of the Board of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC).
