Bruce Deitrick Price
Writer
“ Novelist, artist, poet, and education reformer.
Founded Improve-Education.org in 2005. Listed in Who's Who in America for several years circa 2016. Member of Mensa and PEN. ”
Price was born in Norfolk (Va.), graduated from Princeton with Honors in English Literature, served two years in the military, and lived for several decades in Manhattan. He worked in many different creative areas (including poetry and painting) and ran a small ad agency out of his apartment.
Price is the author of six novels and two collections of education articles. "Saving K-12" was published in 2017.
Now returned to Virginia Beach, he works six days a week, half on literature and half on education reform.
Price feels that K-12 is probably a hopeless situation. On the other hand, it's fun to work on something very challenging. Price's strategy is simple. Help people understand the chicanery throughout our public schools. It's like explaining a century ago that milk was no longer milk, it was chalk and other dangerous substances. If people understood this, would they keep drinking milk?
On the positive side, Price has become an expert explainer of all the dubious theories and sophistries found in our public schools. He has posted about 500 articles on the Internet.
