 With over 30 years BBQ experience, Mick's training began on his Grandfather's Grill in Chicago at 6 years old. He has since toured the world to search best flavors. He is General Manager of Tastee BQ Grilling Co (L.A.) and California Gold BBQ Rubs (CGBR).

Mick Brown has traveled the world, sampling the most popular eateries and barbeque joints. He has been Grilling and Catering parties for over 20 years. His Los Angeles catering company offers private grilling lessons to both individuals and groups. He mixes Business with his joy of BBQ by authoring the Recipe Blog "The Adventures of TasteeBQ". It has been shared and republished internationally with features on Costa Rica, London and Paris.

Started in February 2011, Tastee BQ Grilling Co. has catered events from a 2 year old's Birthday parties in the park, to a Pre-Red Carpet Party with Presidents of AAMPAS. He grills everything from Hot Dogs, to Lamb Kebabs, to Lobster. His culinary mission is to make the best innovative and traditional Barbecue, with a focus on Healthier Grilling. The catering company uses the freshest, most local ingredients possible. It specializes in finding delicious solutions for people who may have dietary limitations or allergies, Low Fat, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Halal, Kosher, etc...

In May 2013, he released POWER by California Gold BBQ Rubs. It is produced at the Pacific Natural Spices facility in Commerce, CA. His first stop was an audition for Shark Tank the day after it's release from the factory. With "$0" in Sales to speak of, the Casting Director refused to even taste it. A fictionalized version of the encounter is memorialized in the "TasteeBQ vs. The Sharks" episode of "The Adventures of Tastee BQ". [In "...Sharks Pt. II, Mick encounters the real Sharks at the live Los Angeles taping of the 2013 American Music Awards].

Between Catering gigs and Retail Store demos for POWER, he developed the new No Salt/Sugar HERIOC! Blend towards the end of 2013. At the same time, he starting a new personal Cooking and Restaurant Review blog called "BBQ Catering Confidential". So far it has traveled to New Orleans and Puerto Vallarta.

Released in February, 2014 HERIOC! is the first Gluten Free, All Natural BBQ Rub on the market that is also and Instant Seasoning and BBQ Sauce Mix. International Provisional Patents were filed the same month before in went to market. So far, it is available at Los Angeles retailers and on Amazon.com. Deals are in the works for distribution in New York, Chicago and Canada in the upcoming weeks.

Mick is now traveling the country promoting POWER and HEROIC!, while still cooking for clients in Los Angeles. He has made many friends through the CGBR pages on Facebook and Twitter, as well as his professional listing on Linked In. There are plans for increased visibility and media appearances this year.
