Professional Highlights

Chantal graduated summa cum laude from the University of Santa Clara, School of Law in 1989. During law school, she interned with the Federal Public Defender’s Office and externed her last semester for Justice John Arguelles with the California Supreme Court. Upon graduation, Chantal clerked for one year with Judge William Ingram, the chief Judge for the Northern District of California. Since then, she has been a successful trial attorney and managed my her practice for more than sixteen of the almost twenty-five years she's been in private practice.

Chantal has been licensed to practice law in California, Tennessee and Texas. Since moving to Texas almost a decade ago, she has defended felony and misdemeanor criminal defendants in Travis, Williamson, Caldwell and Hays Counties and juvenile defendants in Travis and Williamson Counties. For the past several years, she has worked extensively with felony and misdemeanor criminal defendants with MHMR issues and their families.

Chantal has obtained “Not Guilty” verdicts in both felony and misdemeanor jury and bench trials, and helped expand a criminal defendant’s entitlement to a section 38.23 jury charge in State v. Robert Mills.

Chantal is running for 450th District Court Judge in Travis County. She has both the experience and vision necessary to continue to lead the Travis County Criminal Justice System forward.
