Club Sportal was founded by Yuri Bogdanov, a professional soccer coach with nearly 20 years of coaching experience. Yuri’s soccer career began as a player in St. Petersburg, Russia, and, after immigrating to the United States in 1995, Yuri served as the head soccer coach of various private schools in the Baltimore, MD, area and with Arlington Travel Soccer Club in Arlington, VA.

In 2006, Yuri began coaching with McLean Youth Soccer, one of the premier soccer organizations in the Washington, DC Metro Area, where he currently serves as the Age Group Director for the U8 - U12 Boys and Girls travel soccer teams.

In his capacity as Age Group Director, Yuri oversees more than 30 teams. He has been responsible for establishing and implementing a player development model for U8 – U12 travel soccer players, and he routinely designs and develops curriculums, activities and programs consistent with the development model.
