Duncan Kane is a South African entrepreneur and product specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the window and outdoor shading industry. His career began in 2000 under the mentorship of Barry Keen, one of the country’s leading innovators in blinds and shading technology. After Keen’s company was sold, Duncan launched his own business at the age of 23 building what would become one of the South Africa's most respected names in premium indoor and outdoor living solutions.

As founder and product expert of Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings, Duncan leads a team that designs, supplies, and installs bespoke blinds, shutters, louvred awnings, and weather screens across South Africa. His technical expertise and design insight have made him a trusted consultant to many of The Garden Route's most prestigious residential estates, including coastal and luxury developments from Plettenberg Bay to Mossel Bay

Duncan is recognised for setting high standards in performance, precision, and aesthetic detail ensuring that every product installed under his supervision meets both architectural and environmental demands. He has advised on custom specifications for projects throughout South Africa, as well as in neighbouring regions from Mozambique to Namibia.

Under his leadership, Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings has been selected for multiple local business honours, including Best of Knysna & Plettenberg Bay awards. Duncan himself has been recognised in The Sanlam Business Award for entrepreneurship and innovation.
