Dréa Lewis is a native of Albany, GA and for a period of time majored in Computer Engineering. Nearly completing the program, she changed her major, as she felt inclined to pursue acting as a way of embracing her ability to connect to people. After earning her degree in Science, Technology, and Culture at Georgia Tech, she immediately studied theatre in New York under the direction of George Morrison and Mike Nichols at New Actors Workshop (simultaneously working on her Master of Arts Degree in Acting at Antioch University-McGregor in Yellow Springs, Ohio). Being so impressed by the quality of her work, Mr. Nichols initiated the process for her to work with him on the feature film, Charlie Wilson’s War. He wrote “Dréa is a young woman of great talent, intelligence, and beauty…She is an individual of unusual gifts and charm.” She authored "The Mathematics of Acting" which is registered in the Library of Congress. She also has a heart to serve her community being the founder of both G.I.F.T.E.D. (God's Influence Flowing Through Every Disciple) Gospel Choir, a student organization of Georgia Tech and GT Entertainment Network, an affinity group of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.
Dream of Dréa serves to be culturally responsible in the production of feature films and theatrical events, as well as transcendent in performing, directing, and strategic arts consulting. Ms. Lewis is affiliated with SAG and AEA Unions. She is grateful that John G. Durden IV suggested Dream of Dréa to come into being. It all starts from a Dream.
