Dr. Arthur Kosmopoulos earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in Boston. He completed his predoctoral practica and internships in college counseling, inpatient psychiatric work with adults, and community mental health. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, MA. In addition to his work at Life Changes Group, Dr. Kosmopoulos holds adjunct faculty positions at Lasell and Newbury Colleges. His professional interests include the interface between culture, the brain, and psychological disorders.
Dr. Kosmopoulos has experience working with clients struggling with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, HIV, and sexual/gender identity. He offers therapy services using evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Remediation Therapy, and Positive Psychology. His goal is to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and physical reactions, to identify innate strengths and life goals, and to develop and practice the necessary skills to create more manageable, satisfying lives. Dr. Kosmopoulos provides neuropsychological testing to determine any learning issues and identify appropriate academic recommendations and interventions needed for these issues.
