Dr. Mark Johnson, founder of ERISA Benefits Consulting, has a 20 year career history bridging four closely related areas:

1. The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA);
2. Management and financing of pension, 401(k), group life/health & retiree medical plans;
3. Labor relations; and
4. Personnel policy

This experience includes serving at the director level with operational and financial responsibility for twenty (20) qualified plans; Chief ERISA Compliance Officer; presentation of arbitration cases, EEOC proceedings, and federal and state court litigation.

Dr. Johnson holds a J.D. from the University of Houston, a Ph.D. in Communication Studies, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an M.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a B.A. in History, from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
