Rob Ruggiero is the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Energy Equity Corp. and is responsible for overseeing the Company’s finance, investor relations and corporate development functions.

Rob began boxing at the tender age of sixteen through his twenties in the New York amateur circuit out of the world famous Gleason’s Gym. For a period of time, in order to develop a stronger defensive game, he sought guidance from boxing World Champion Joey Gamache. One of Rob’s early wins was highlighted on the undercard of an exhibition match between former heavyweight contender Gerry Cooney and NY Jet, Joe Klecko, two of his very favorite childhood sports stars.

Upon fighting competitively for several years, Rob turned his attention on coaching individuals in the sport of boxing out of various gyms in New York and New Jersey. It was when he was in New Jersey that he was introduced to the sports of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. He immediately took a liking to both and saw the potential of infusing his knowledge of boxing into the MMA world. He began practicing the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the world renowned Renzo Gracie Academy. In honor of learning from some of the best blackbelts in the world, he reciprocates his boxing knowledge to these very same instructors, adding a diversified layer of dynamics to their overall MMA game. It is this free-spirited attitude and willingness to give back to those he is close to that opens continuous paths in his evolution as a practitioner and coach in multiple disciplines.

It’s the role of coaching that gives Rob a mental edge when analyzing methods that enhance his athletes’ skill levels.

Rob continuously puts forth effort not only in augmenting various existing equipment in sports, but also implementing creative ways of developing brand new devices that will impact the combat sports environments he has been associated with for years.

Rob’s past executive experience includes Individual Asset Management, Compliance and Accounting at various boutique Wall Street Stock Brokerage Firms.
