She has served as president of the International Foodservice Editorial Council and was a founding board member and chairman of the American Institute of Wine & Food’s Kentucky chapter. Other professional affiliations include the Southern Foodways Alliance, the International Association of Culinary Professionals and the James Beard Foundation. She is also very actively involved in the community, serving on the University of Kentucky Jefferson County Alumni Board, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft Bourbon Ball Committee, Junior League of Louisville, the Younger Women’s Club and the Clifton Center Board.

Estes has earned both local and national accolades for her work, including the “40 under 40 Award” from Business First newspaper in Louisville.
