Rick Evanchyk

CEO and President

 Rick Evanchyk is President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. He oversees Goodwill's fiscal and strategic responsibility, including its retail stores, accessible housing, a charter school, business development, and mission services. 
Rick Evanchyk was named President/CEO of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida in January 2015. A proven operational, fiscal and human resources leader, Rick has extensive experience in non-profit and for profit administrative management, retail, and international and sales operation management. As President/CEO, his responsibilities are to oversee the fiscal and strategic responsibility for the organization, which includes 30 Retail & Donation Centers, 18 housing complexes, a charter school, a business development division, and mission services which assist more than 40,000 Southwest Floridians annually.

Rick joined Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida in 2004 as Vice President of Administration before advancing to the position of Senior Vice President and then Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he increased the organization’s housing for people with disabilities from eight complexes to 16, started the Goodwill business development division that includes vending services, janitorial, and shredding businesses, and modernized and strengthened best business practices in the organization’s HR, finance, and IT departments.

Before joining Goodwill, Rick spent two decades with the Kmart Corporation, where he started as an Assistant Store Manager and held positions as Store Manager and District/Regional Manager. He also held leadership position in corporate sales and marketing, human resources, and finance before advancing to the position of Divisional Vice President of Store Operations. He also has previous nonprofit management experience: Rick served four years as the Executive Director of the YMCA in Niceville, Fla.

Rick is a graduate of the Goodwill Industries International Executive Development Program, an intensive learning program focused on the technical skills necessary for success as a Goodwill CEO. He is also a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and serves on the Fort Myers/Lee County Enterprise Zone Board of Commissioners.

A graduate of Troy University (Ala.), Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management. He lives in Cape Coral with his wife Susan, their grandson Payton, and a long-haired dachshund, Brownie.
