Deborah is an international visionary who has a background anchored in agricultural greenhouse production and space technology. As an early pioneer, Deborah designed and built some of Arizona’s first commercial floating lettuce systems to withstand extreme temperatures and pioneered change in water policy and local food production. Working with top chefs and fortune 500 companies, she brought exceptional products to consumers and revolutionized fresh food marketing and distributed production models. Her techniques in ponds systems and multi crop integration have since been utilized across Africa to provide fresh produce to harsh regions. Her company is currently serving in 10 countries worldwide, providing food opportunities to over 62 million people.
Ms. Walliser holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Botany from North Carolina State University where she studied hydroponic systems used by Kennedy space Center for space missions and developed the first ‘smart’ greenhouse called B.E.T.S.I. She holds two Master’s Degrees in Education and Project Administration from Northern Arizona University. She cares passionately about water conservation and the environment helping many organizations across the globe.
