Mr. Underdal is a registered patent agent, allowed to practice in patent cases before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He holds a M.S. in Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark with concentrations in Electronics, Software Engineering & Systems Engineering, and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, UK. He is a co-inventor of 12 United States patents.

Previously, Mr. Underdal was Vice President of Product Delivery for Mitchell International, with responsibility for Platform and Appraisal solutions offered by Mitchell’s Auto Physical Damage Solutions division. Before this, Mr. Underdal was Director of Engineering for SPX Corp., leading development of computer diagnostic systems for the automotive industry. In this position he led a large engineering department in the development of automotive diagnostics solutions, including development of patented adaptive diagnostics technology. Prior to his tenure at SPX Corp., Mr. Underdal served as a Vice President of Engineering for LogicTree Corp., a start-up developing Speech Automation and Multi-Modal Content Delivery Solutions, as well as a Manager at Accenture, working for more than 8 years in Technology Services consulting.

Mr. Underdal is a practitioner member of The National Association of Patent Practitioners (NAPP), and a member of The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
