 Mark Swanson has 17 years of experience in the adhesives, specialty foam-tapes, and converting industries. Mark has worked for various manufacturers of these products including MACtac, Gaska Tape Inc, and Ivex Paper Co. 
Mark Swanson started his sales career selling lawn mowers and tractors for Sears while still in college at the University of Northern Illinois. After graduating in 1993 with a BS in Marketing and Emphasis in Sales, he landed his first job with UARCO. UARCO was a printer of business forms and was eventually purchased by one of its competitors: Standard Register.
After UARCO, Mark worked for a paper coater called Kanzaki Specialty Papers. Kanzaki manufactures the paper that was used in thermal fax machines as well as the paper that originally was used for “Pay at the Pump” gas station receipts. Sales grew rapidly for Mark and Kanzaki as new customers were uncovered and closed. He spent lots of time on the road but he was young and single and enjoyed the challenge.
Next was the recycled paper & packaging company, Ivex. 5 years of new product lines, new customers, and some solid success lead mark to the specialty tapes industry at Gaska Tape.
Gaska was one of Mark’s favorite jobs due to the people and the forward direction of the company. Unfortunately, that time ended due to the high amount of travel required to grow the large territory. By this time, Mark was married with two young girls at home. The time on the road prompted one of them to ask for her “Real Daddy, not her Telephone Daddy”. As you can well imagine, it was impossible for Mark to ignore that sign that Daddy has been gone too much.
The experience of the printer markets, label converters, and lead Mark back into “end-user” sales at JBC Technologies.

JBC is Mark’s current job and he is tasked with new business development. The announcement from JBC’s website reads:
