Meg Kindelin, AIA

President

Meg is an architect and architectural historian and has over 25 years of experience in the field. She is a leader in the preservation field, sitting on committees for Landmarks Illinois and the State Historic Preservation Office.
Meg’s niche specialty is historic preservation architecture for transportation
and infrastructure. As an architect, she has led the renovations of transit
stations, railroad bridges, roadway bridges, and aqueducts throughout
the region. Her current work on four Chicago downtown bridges has
established Meg as one of most experienced Chicago architects on historic
bridge treatments. As a historian with a focus on the unique character and
components of transportation infrastructure, she oversees all historic reports
such as historic documentation and research, Section 106 work, establishment
of APEs, Determinations of Effects Reports, Historic Properties Inventories,
HSRs, HABS/HAER, and condition assessments.
