Tamara Wrenn is the Executive Director and Founder of Just Us Women Productions a New York State certified Minority Women-owned Business (MWBE). The company uses diverse strategies to work with women who are ready to live with vitality providing them with informational support, education, and encouragement so that they can gain and sustain optimal health and wellness throughout their lifespan. The company serves all women with a special focus on women of color to help reduce health disparities and inequities.

Tamara is a master communicator and speaker with administrative and leadership experience in maternal and child health, women’s fitness and wellness, childbirth, and more. Her services are nourishing to the whole woman by providing a holistic approach with a spiritual foundation. She shows them how to dig deeper, embrace their spirituality, and address the whole-self for greater success – while making every step feel like they are never alone. Tamara wants to live in a world where women and children are treasured because they are the cornerstone of a healthy society. As a woman who recognizes firsthand the value of living a healthy lifestyle she helps people set goals, act, and make informed choices for optimal wellbeing, while fulfilling their purpose. When she awakes every morning her goal is to let her light shine while successfully reaching her goals and when she is not serving her clients you can find her relaxing and kicking back.

Raised in the Bronx during the birth of hip-hop, Tamara’s work “in the neighborhood” from an early age gave her a unique perspective of the community, as well as a heart for its people. It was in this setting that she gained the professional experience she needed to work on a city, state, and national level. Prior to operating her company, Tamara developed a successful mixture of operational, managerial, and direct service experience including successfully managing the perinatal network arm of a Bronx-based non-profit.

Tamara earned her Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from New York University and her continuing education includes staying abreast of trends in public health, fitness, perinatal and women’s health, and natural remedies. To add some balance to her life she enjoys leading Zumba® Fitness and SharQui® Bellydance workouts and dancing like no one is watching.

A dynamic speaker, Tamara has presented for a diverse client list that includes Toastmasters International, National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. Eastern Region, 7th Annual Health Disparities Conference at Teachers College, Columbia University, and many more. She continues to display exemplary leadership characteristics in her role of President of the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York. Through her company she hosts annual Women’s Faith and Fitness Retreats that uplift women in ways that are fun and engaging.

Tamara’s dedication has been recognized with the following awards: Ruben Diaz, Jr., Bronx Borough President, 2013 Certificate of Merit, Caribbean Heritage Month; 2012 LEAP Equity Award – a collaboration among the Lanza Family Foundation, the Women’s Research and Education Fund (WREF) and the Women’s Enterprise Development Center (WEDC); 2010 Women’s Enterprise Development Fund Alumnae Scholarship; and 2008 WEDC Women & Company® Microenterprise Boost Program Equity Award.
