Melissa relocated to Utah from Portland, Oregon where she earned certifications in both Field Production and Studio Television Production at Portland Community Television. She was the Producer for ACUPUNCTURE: WHATS THE POINT, as well as short documentaries and PSA’s. She holds a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Anthropology and credits her love of ethnology as the reason she is drawn to film. In addition to filmmaking, Melissa is working towards a Masters Degree in Public Health and hopes to integrate her filmmaking experience with her passion for providing marginalized populations in sub-Saharan Africa a voice.
