Carmen Ambrosio is a writer and an art photographer who was born in St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands and moved to the frozen tundra of the Midwest to finish college.
After she earned a degree in journalism from Michigan State University, she held corporate positions in marketing communications and sales before switching careers to advertising. Carmen later worked for nonprofit agencies.
SAMSON: Memories of a Found Hound is her second book. Her memoir, Life Continues: Facing the Challenges of MS, Menopause, and Midlife with Hope, Courage, and Humor, won the 2011 National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest-Ohio Affiliate (Biography and Autobiography).
She lives with her husband in Central Ohio and prefers to travel to places without snakes unless she is outfitted with knee-high boots and accompanied by a mongoose.
The certainty of the uncertainty inherent in having multiple sclerosis (MS) increases her urgency to write and create art while she can.
