John Russell is the Director of Human Resources and Founder of Marketecture
John, 51, is the man behind the scenes at Marketecture Inc. John’s main skills lie with people, being able to lead, recruit, communicate, and work with people. John has been able to help create and maintain Marketecture’s unique corporate culture where entrepreneurship, innovation, and vision are the driving values. John is responsible for recruiting not only the best talent, but team members that will be a great fit to the company. John is responsible for gathering the talented team responsible for the production, fulfillment, and support of the Total Online Business System. John does not believe in referring to others as employees but sees his co-workers as team members, an insight he gained playing football as a child, John truly believes that it is through team work that a company can thrive.
John has considerable experience in both sales and entrepreneurship, starting his own landscaping company at age 14 and growing it over five years expanding it to a fleet of three trucks and seven employees. From that point on John has continued to help businesses grow as a sales rep in various companies including the Kelly Company and Spire Technologies, where he worked his way up the company eventually becoming an executive level team member. In 2005 John was recruited as V.P. of Sales at eHarbor. There John developed a relationship with Oliver Bigler and Dan Sampson, the other founders of Marketecture, and after serving as the President of eHarbor for four years; John helped found Marketecture Inc. in 2010.
John has become successful in his career by sticking to the simple ethic of doing things that need to be done, but his greatest success is his family. Throughout his professional career John has never missed a single sporting event or performance of one of his children and he vows to continue that pattern for the rest of his life.
John Russell is a volunteer at Make-A-Wish Foundation, he is Marketecture’s grillmaster, an avid BYU football fan, and Marketecture’s softball coach.
