Before founding the National Center for Emotional-Support Animals, Trang was a reporter at Investor's Business Daily for more than eight years. She has also worked in public radio as a producer and reporter and in local TV news as a producer.

Trang is devoted to raising public awareness about the health benefits that animals provide both physiologically and psychologically. She also wants to help people who are struggling to find pet-friendly housing and those who cannot afford to pay pet airline fees and pet housing fees and deposits.
