Ben Jones is an expert Japanese linguist, as well as a professional musician and publisher.

Having studied Japanese at Oxford and Sheffield Universities, and lived in Japan during the 'bubble' period, he returned to the UK and became the first Japanese translator / interpreter to be elected a Fellow of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.

As a sideline to his company BJ Translations and its oriental typesetting work, he created the imprint Ozaru Books, which publishes books focusing on the local area of East Kent.

He also founded the Impromptu Ensemble, which provides string quartets and other instrumentalists for weddings, concerts and similar events throughout Kent.
