 After suffering for many years with vitiligo, Audrey VanStockum set out to find a safe, natural and effective way to help vitiligo. Recouleur® Dietary Supplement was developed through a National Science Foundation grant and patented in 2008. 
Audrey VanStockum has experienced the challenges of vitiligo firsthand, suffering from the skin condition for many years. In 2003, VanStockum established Supernatural Health, Inc., with the goal of developing a safe nutritional supplement for the treatment of pigment loss and gray hair associated with vitiligo. A 2003-2004 research grant from the National Science Foundation, under the auspices of Northwestern University, enabled development of a dietary supplement. Her vitamin formulation was awarded a patent for Method and composition for treating hypopigmentation of the hair and skin in May 2008. This formulation is embodied in Recouleur® dietary supplement which had its market launch in 2004.
A compassionate advocate for vitiligo patients worldwide, VanStockum has been a guest on WGN Radio in Chicago and is a frequent presenter at vitiligo conferences. A prolific author, she has written articles for the American Vitiligo Research Foundation, National Vitiligo Foundation Inc. (NVFI), and Vitiligo Society of the United Kingdom. She has contributed content to the NVFI and Vitiligo Support & Awareness Foundation (VITSAF) websites. In 2012, many years of research culminated in the publication of her first book – Vitiligo Vitamin and Nutritional Therapy. In 2017, she authored the book The Use of Vitamin Therapy for the Treatment of Vitiligo. She provides personal telephone coaching to help fast-forward people up the learning curve and brainstorm answers to skin health questions. She is also available as a keynote speaker or presenter.
