As the Vice President of Finance, Mark applies systems dynamics and GAAP to shepherd the agency toward successful business operations. After learning public accounting practices at a local CPA firm, Mark then moved on to large companies like The Home Depot and Turner. Subsequently, Mark decided to take his career in a different direction so that he could work in an organization that better aligned with his values. He found that here at Response Mine and with RMI CEO Ken Robbins.

What’s your main focus at RMI?
I’d say my main focus is to maintain the company’s financial stability, develop my team and to provide sound counsel without expectation.

What do you think makes RMI a great company?
Our company values — we do things differently here, and most people honor those values within the company. We embody a communal tone, and there aren’t a lot of politics here. I like the transparency we maintain across the organization. This culture allows us to be casual, to bring our dogs to the office or work from home.

How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?
One of the most important things for me is my yoga practice. I find a lot of release and balance from it, and I spend about 7 hours per week doing it. It helps me press the reset button, keeps me grounded, and helps me stay really content in my life.
