What’s your main focus at RMI?
To me, my focus here is really to be a good person at heart and to try to help other people grow along the same path I’m growing on and help them find their vision. Also Being comfortable with being uncomfortable…that is the only way you continue to challenge yourself. There’s always someone out there who’s trying to work hard to outpace you in the marketplace. So, for me it’s about meeting objectives, solving problems and taking calculated risks to grow businesses and people.

What do you think makes RMI a great company?
RMI is kind of like a baseball team. It’s a team effort, but you need a head coach. It’s my job to make sure all the players are on the field, doing the very best job they can and moving forward from the Minor Leagues to the Major Leagues.

How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?
I’m always on working in one of my companies, so I really love going to the gym — it’s one of the few places where I can really unplug and recharge. My other love is travel — I’m closing in on my goal of visiting 5 of the 7 continents. I love experiencing new cultures. I spent some time traveling through Thailand and got a chance to visit an elephant sanctuary. I got to wrestle and play with a baby elephant! It was absolutely majestic, and it made me realize just how connected we all are.

When I’m home, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two golden doodles.

Is there a quote that inspires you?
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” —Milton Berle
Another one of my favorites is the quote from Abraham Lincoln: “Whatever you are, be a good one.”
