In “Real Life” (RL), Filipa Thespian holds a bachelors in business management and is a graphic artist with 20+ years of experience that includes website design, marketing, illustration, print production, publishing, direct mail/marketing, customer experience management and SEO. With her own in-house digital printing facility she currently produces books and magazines for her Real Life business, J&G Unlimited (http://www.jandgunlimited.com), a theatrical licensing firm with works appearing all over the United States and currently in negotiations to take their works to Broadway and the Philadelphia Theatre market.

A 5 1/2 year resident of Second Life (SL), Filipa owns and operates a number of businesses in including “Swirl” or “Give It A Swirl” (http://www.giveitaswirl.info), a production company featuring the successful fashion/play hybrid show called “Fashion in Fantasy,” held in her theatre, The Pyramid Theatre on Park Avenue.

Most recently, Filipa has created her own virtual magazine called Roleplay Guide Magazine (http://www.roleplayguide.com), published both in SL and on the web, already boasting a readership of well over 10,000 people. Filipa is no stranger to the SL Couture fashion community having been Art Director for the Best of SL Magazine (BOSL) for nearly 2 years, recently retiring from her role there, and having her own fashion businesses for both couture and role play attire which have been featured in several SL fashion publications during the last few years.

Passionate about business in RL and SL, Filipa runs a business group (Business and Economy) with companion website, http://secondlifebae.wordpress.com. She advocates good business practices and business promotion and is a member of the Content Creators Association among other fashion and business groups.

But where role play is concerned, Filipa has engaged in desktop and computer based role play games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Champions, Champions Online, World of Warcraft, and many others, the last 5 years role playing almost exclusively in various realms in SecondLife. These realms include Gor (where in 2006 she owned the most popular Gorean sim which is still in operation today), Fantasy, Medieval and Sci-Fi. Some of her chosen characters in these realms include Gypsy, Dragon, Vagabond, Merchant, Elf, Dwarf and others.
