She is the first to admit it, so we’ll tell you upfront—Pennie Rorex loves reality TV. It started with American Idol and continues today with her new favs, Dancing with the Stars and Top Chef. While she cannot sing, dance, or whip up a gourmet meal, she’s mastered Mama Skittone’s Italian donut recipe and loves Airedale Terriers. She also relishes marketing communications, a career she embraced decades ago while working for the California State Legislature.

Pennie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from California Baptist University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2015. She was honored by her peers with the Maree Hawkins Communications Professional of the Year Award from the Central Valley Public Relations Organization for her commitment and excellence to the profession. She also holds a certificate of completion from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Public Information Officer / Crisis Communications Course.

Through her passion for cancer awareness advocacy, Pennie was a recipient of the Community Quarterback Award from the San Francisco 49ers for her volunteer work as a co-founder of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of California. Professionally, she is a member Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association.
