 S. Sam Berde, CPA, is a partner in RBSM's assurance and advisory services practice, and received his CPA license in 1991. Berde's focus is onserving middle market companies. His expertise includes audits of public companies, equity and debt offerings. 
Satyaraj S. Berde is a partner at RBSM, LLP, (RBSM). PMB offers a full range of professional accounting, tax and consulting services. Mr. Berde joined RBSM in 2013. In 2005, Sam Berde joined the Haas School of Business at University of California – Berkeley as a professional faculty member in the Accounting Group.

Mr. Berde’s current practice focuses primarily on audits of publicly-traded and privately-held companies, consulting on both domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, inversion transactions, formation of Limited Liability Companies, and tax aspects of executive compensation strategies, minority equity investments, venture financing, and other general business matters. Mr. Berde represents clients as an outside financial advisor or as acting chief financial officer and assists numerous clients on completing SEC filings, including registration statements (Forms S1 and S3). He also prepares business plans and financial feasibility studies for high-technology firms, bio-technology, Internet services firms, healthcare providers, software consulting firms, and light manufacturing. Additionally, Mr. Berde plans and administers audit and consulting engagements.

During a seven-year stint, Mr. Berde advanced to the position of manager at KPMG in San Francisco, where his responsibilities included planning and administering all phases of audit and consulting engagements. He focused his efforts in the healthcare industry, litigation support services and professional service firms. In addition, he developed and instituted a health care training program for the San Francisco-Bay Area KPMG practice. During Mr. Berde’s tenure he was assigned to assess financial compensation claims for the Persian Gulf War damages, filed with the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva, Switzerland. The preparation of financial war damage claims is a complex task requiring financial analysis (valuation of loss), research of legal and financial issues, and coordination with various regulatory bodies. The war damage claims of an individual client ranged from US $100,000 to $20,000,000.


Also prior to joining RBSM, Mr. Berde served as the CFO of HeathCenter.com, a biotech company headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was the Director of Business and Asset Valuation Services at Al-Reyouf Consulting Co. in Kuwait. His experience involved negotiating the complexities of fiscal analysis, legal issues, and coordination with various regulatory bodies in the preparation of compensation claims on behalf of business clients as a result of the Persian Gulf War damages.
