Danielle joined Manomet in June 2015 as a Senior Program Associate in the Sustainable Economies Program. Danielle will be working on the small business benchmarking and sustainable grocer certification initiatives, as well as other sustainability projects.

Danielle’s previous role was at The Smithers Group, where she supervised the marketing, content and public relations efforts for 25 international conferences per year. These conferences focused on a wide variety of technical topics, including sustainable packaging, LED lighting, renewable energy and materials and more.

Before relocating to Maine six years ago, because of the access to the outdoors and great local food scene, she worked in Washington, D.C. in a wide variety of roles–beginning in government relations/communications to a stint as a pastry chef, before settling in as a public relations professional for non-profits and the hospitality industry.

Danielle also serves as the Vice President to Portland Buy Local’s Board of Directors, a volunteer-driven non-profit which supports locally owned, independent businesses and focuses on building community economic strength.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Danielle received a BA in Political Science from West Chester University. In her free time, she loves biking, traveling, reading, cooking and eating.
