Matt began his career as a pawn and gun seller for his future father-in-law. He worked his way up to manager then was promoted to manager at a second store, where he also learned the business side of the store. He focused on the gun selling and repairing side of the business while also supporting another Liberty Safes dealer in the area. Matt became a Certified Liberty in 2014 and opened his main store in North Augusta, SC. A year later, he was recruited to be the Fort Knox dealer for all of South Carolina. In 2017, Matt was given the opportunity from Liberty to take over distribution in Charleston, SC and partnered with C&S Sports.
