After earning a B.A. in Theatre Studies with an emphasis on Lighting Design from Kent State University in 1997, Beth entered the Cleveland entertainment lighting work force. Her first real world lighting job was at a professional theatre for young audiences and families in Barberton Ohio, a light design for the Magical Theatre Company. From there Beth went on to become the Master Electrician and Lighting Designer for Trumpet in the Land. Trumpet is Ohio's first outdoor drama production that runs three main stage shows a season.

In February of 1999, Beth started working part time in the rental shop of one of the largest entertainment lighting companies in Cleveland, Ohio. In June of 1999, Beth was hired on full time as the Rental Administrator. As the Rental Administrator, Beth handled all invoicing, purchase orders, and payroll for all three offices. In February of 2004, Beth was promoted back to the rental shop to serve as the Rental Shop Manager. In this capacity, Beth was responsible for the day-to day logistics of running a full scale lighting rental and production warehouse.

Beth also diversified her customer service skills by participating in the Walt Disney World College Program while attending Kent State University. She continued to work for Disney for many years after graduation. Beth is also a certified Vari-Lite technician for VL500, VL1000, VL2000, VL3000 and VLX series automated luminaries.
