“ Laurent Adamowicz brings a lifetime of experience in food and business to EChO Foundation, and a passion for cutting-edge approaches to ending the obesity epidemic. He is always looking toward the future and finding new ways to utilize technology. ”

Laurent Adamowicz, founder and President of EChO, has valued healthy eating choices since growing up in Paris, and working in the food industry in France and in the United States. He formerly managed as Chairman & CEO a food company that encompassed operations in 34 countries and had two hundred chefs. Laurent Adamowicz obtained a Master in Business Administration from Wharton and a Master of Arts in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from Columbia University in New York. While he was a Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative in 2010 and 2011 he founded Bon’App to implement his vision of improving access to, and quality of, nutrition education. As the corporation matured, it became clear that a separate not-for-profit trajectory existed apart from the core operations of Bon’App, particularly given the research opportunities available to a not-for-profit corporation seeking to apply the software to research endeavors and implementation of effective programs to reduce childhood obesity. Hence, the creation of EChO – Eradicate Childhood Obesity Foundation. While the two entities share a historical tie, their missions and activities are completely distinct.
