Dr. Vahedi received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry. She graduated in 1995 with numerous awards including: Dentsply International Prosthodontic Merit Award, American Society of Dentistry for Children Award, American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award, and the Outstanding Senior Award presented by Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity.
