Dr. Shahadat Khan is an accomplished business leader and innovator with deep expertise in strategy, operations and technology.

Dr. Khan is the founder and CEO of TallyKhata, the pioneering digital msME platform in Bangladesh. TallyKhata provides an intuitive app for small businesses with a business ledger to keep transaction records, an electronic wallet for receiving and making payments, and a digital loan facility based on cash-flow data and credit scoring. The platform has more than 4 million registered users, recording more than a million business transactions each day.

He has more than 31 years of experience, including university teaching, research and innovation, product development, and building IT-based solutions for social issues. Prior to founding SureCash, Dr. Khan was the Chief Technology Officer of Eyeball Networks, a Canada-based software and technology company delivering solutions to world-famous customers such as Intel, Polycom, FujiFilm, Comcast, and Philips.

Dr. Khan is a graduate of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He is a Canadian Commonwealth Scholar and received his Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the University of Victoria, Canada.

He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and panels, holds 16 patents, and has published many articles in journals and technical magazines. He has traveled to more than 40 countries, and is a hobbyist wildlife photographer.
