Steven grew up in an auto body shop starting at 10 years old pushing a broom just for a few minutes of sitting in the dirt track race car the night of the races. He worked his way to to writing estimates because he wasn't any good at shooting paint & got tired of sanding his mistakes away. Steven spent 6 years in the U.S Army as a heavy duty equipment mechanic where he worked on everything from M1A1 Abrams Tanks to generators and everything in between including trucks, cars, rebuilding engines & transmissions. Steven even had the fun pleasure of rebuilding outboard boat engines while in the Army. After serving for six long years he went to work for a local truck company.

Like most who get out of the service he started back at the bottom changing oil & tires but quickly made his way up the ladder to shop foreman and then landed a nice job in the office and was responsible for setting up the new maintenance software and tracking warranty claims for the companies 1500 unit fleet.

After being stuck in the office for a while he wanted to get back into the field where he new he could strive and be free. He went to work for a end of lease inspection company delivering bad news to lessees when it was time to turn in their cars.

After 5 years of feeling like people were getting ripped off he decided to open Test Drive Technologies in July of 2009 to help used car, truck, boat, RV & heavy duty equipment buyers protect their investment dollars before they spend them. Over the last few years Steven has inspected over 1000 vehicles all over the Mid-West at dealerships and private sellers locations and maintain that TDT is the only truly 100% mobile vehicle inspection company that lifts cars & light trucks onsite to fully inspect the undercarriage of each vehicle.

Steven is proud to have fought for our country and is even more proud to fight for consumers and help them purchase safer vehicles through pre-purchase inspection services.
