Josephine Marie Granger (Josie) was born and raised in Oklahoma by her Maternal Grandmother, Marie whom she called “Momma Rie”. Momma Rie loved books, and passed that love and curiosity for reading to Josie from a young age. Josie began writing at the age of 10. She picked up guitar lessons when she was 12, and the combination resulted in writing songs for hobby. Josie loved Country music growing up, but discovered the more raw styles of artists in the Oklahoma red dirt scene by her late teens. When Josie was a senior in high school, she started writing a music newspaper about local artists in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. It wasn’t until 2018 that Josie brought her passion for writing to an online platform.
