Andy Eppler is an artist who is keen to explore various genres and mediums with his prolific artwork. Though he is most well known as a songwriter Eppler is also a published poet, painter, short story author, and tireless producer. Born in the flatlands of Lubbock, Texas, Andy has used his southern charm and humor to sweeten his skeptical messages and themes. His musical works include: There is No Underground (2007), Dark Places (2008), Disease in the Heartland (2009), Strangers in the Modern Era (2010) Live Wires (2010), Long and Lonesome Way (2011), The Wasteland Ramble (2012), and Andy Eppler's Traditional Christmas (2012). With each passing album Eppler has honed his craft to a finer point with more purpose, passion and potency. In 2006 He married his wife Jessica who was already a blossoming artist who was performing locally. Beginning in 2008 they began producing their work behind closed doors where they would record all their own instruments, mix all their own albums and with a few exceptions create their own album art. They formed the band The Prairie Scholars in 2010 and have quickly become a favorite of art lovers and keen thinkers all over the world through the Internet. Andy and Jessica currently live in Boulder County Colorado where they perform together as The Prairie Scholars. Andy is a proud voting member of the Texas Recording Academy and the owner of both Andy Eppler Productions and Velvet Syntax Publishing. All the work by The Prairie Scholars, Andy Eppler and Jessica Eppler can be found on their official website: www.prairiescholars.com.
