Mohammed Bhojani is a practising optometrist & contact lens practitioner, business coach and consultant who teaches eye care practitioners to make a better living and optimise their work life balance, with a special interest in sales and marketing, communication, productivity and time management.

He has over 25 years experience working in corporate and independent optics in both an operational, management & consultancy capacity. Over the last 20 years he successfully set up and ran his own 8 group chain of optical practices including 2 joint ventures, ran a buying group, a spectacle laboratory, and also distributed own brand frames and optical equipment. In this time he helped and advised other eye care practitioner set up and run their own successful practices, becoming a non executive director of three optical groups.

He also worked a sessional optometrist at the Corneal Laser Centre at the Spire Hospital Leicester for over 15 years.

He is a popular speaker and leads CET workshops for eye care practitioners and staff on many issues & aspects of daily practice including contact lens fitting. He has trained eye care practitioners and staff in the entire spectrum of UK Optics including Specsavers, Boots, Vision Express, D&A, Optical Express, Tesco, Asda and hundreds of independent practices. 2010-2012 He was a member of the Ciba Vision Academy of Eye care Excellence (now Alcon and Novartis). He is currently an elected member of Leicestershire and Rutland Local Optical Committee.

Mohammed was born in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), studied Optometry at Bradford University (1986) and winning the Colebrook Prize of the College of Optometry (1987). He obtained a Masters of Business Administration at Warwick Business School. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, The Institute of Management and the Institute of Directors. He is also a Magistrate and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He also has business interests in property and internet marketing.

A determined survivor, Mohammed has created his own path to success by applying his special blend of entrepreneurial persistence, resourcefulness, and an ability to relate to just about anyone.

Despite his exceptional business track record, Mohammed is first and foremost a simple family man. He loves & is very close to his extended family and is a father and friend to his 3 precious children and husband to his beautiful wife Rahat.

Mohammed also gets immense satisfaction from being the catalyst that helps eye care practitioners reaching their personal and financial goals in record time. However 3 days per week Mohammed still works in his own 2 award-winning optometry practices Visual Answers Optometrists near Loughborough seeing his patients. His special interests being Dry Eye Management, Treatment of Visual Stress, and early Diagnosis of Macular Degeneration.

Mohammed has spoken and presented at events throughout the UK and Europe on aspects of business management, marketing and communication in the world of optometry and optics to eye specialists and eye care professionals. He has represented international organisations in his role as a speaker including Ciba Vision, Essilor and Transitions Optical. Has presented at prestigious events such as the BCLA (British Contact Lens Association) and also at the Royal Society of Medicine.

In his spare time, Mohammed also carries out talks and presentations to local schools and charitable organisations on presentation and communication skills, as well as in the fields of inter-faith and intra-faith relations regarding aspects of Islam. He has previously served on the committee of COEJ (UK) and as a representative of the central working committee of the MCB (UK).
