Calvin Jones is a lifelong wildlife enthusiast and freelance nature writer based in West Cork, Ireland. He has been fascinated with wildlife and nature since early childhood, and loves nothing more than sharing his passion and enthusiasm for all things wild with others.

That passion and enthusiasm, coupled with a background in content creation and digital marketing, led Calvin to establish Ireland's Wildlife in 2011. The site is primarily an information portal to make Irish wildlife related content more accessible to people in Ireland and abroad, to champion wildlife tourism in Ireland and to encourage people everywhere to take a closer look at the wild side of Ireland.

The site has grown rapidly to become the largest and most popular independent online wildlife destination dedicated to Irish wildlife and nature.

In 2013 Calvin expanded the Ireland's Wildlife portfolio to include Discover Wildlife Experiences. Based on the West Cork stretch of The Wild Atlantic Way on Ireland's South West Coast, these experiences get people closer to the wild side of Ireland in a very literal sense.
