Katie Woodland is the Managing Director of Woodland Psychological Services Ltd. She is a registered member of the British Psychological Society and is the only Child Development Specialist within the Telford and Wrekin Area.

She is passionate about utilising her specialist academic knowledge, alongside her practical experience to help people with mental health difficulties reach their full potential. She has worked as a psychologist for over 3 years in the private sector.

Katie has experience of carrying out psychometric assessments, writing reports, conducting clinically relevant scientific research, developing and maintaining databases, creating and carrying out interventions, working with children who have a range of developmental disorders, carrying out observations (home and school based), using clinical interview checklists and speaking to parents and children with mental health disorders, as well as liaising with other mental health professionals. Katie has also worked with businesses and schools delivering training and mentoring services enabling others to support individuals with mental health difficulties. A mental health difficulty should not be a barrier to a successful education, employment or social life.

A message from Katie:
"I have lived in Telford for over 20 years and although I relocated a number of times for university/work, Telford has always felt like home. I have a passion for helping others, especially those who are sometimes unable to help themselves. I am actively involved in Telford and have previously volunteered with the NSPCC as part of their ChildLine Schools Service project. I currently act as a governor in a local primary school and as a trustee for a local mental health charity. My family has always been my 'rock' during difficult times and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Their continued support will enable me to put my time and effort into helping anyone who needs it. Thank you."
